The concept of living at the waterfront: Business development serves resident needs, providing shopping and business entertainment.

The entrance to the shopping center is from the southwest via the expressway. The main store is at the heart of pedestrian walkways, attracting the attention of visitors. The commercial zone adjoins/merges the waterfront village and neighboring residences.

The following are features of this multi-district business entity:
1. Link the residents’ natural environment to business-oriented activities.
2. Meet the commercial needs of 30,000 residents.
3. Create an entertainment center for the new town.

The main road and the feeder roads help with the traffic of the service shopping center, with none of the feeder roads passing through the waterfront community. The proposed design area has a clear divide between commercial and residential life, while waterfront residential areas are accessible by trunk roads. The project created a metropolitan atmosphere of a commercial metropolis center and further strengthened the regional identity of Tianjin Eco-City.
